Using a microfiber duster, perform a thorough dusting of static objects and small crevices, and dust door frames and the tops of appliances to banish these sneaky allergens from their hiding places.

###Vacuum Carpet and Upholstery Carpets and cushions are great for the family, but can act like a sponge when it comes to dust and allergens. Using a new vacuum filter, vacuum under furniture, along baseboards and in closets. Use an upholstery attachment to pull dust from curtains, couch cushions and rugs, and wash throw pillows and blankets often. Emptying the vacuum bag right away will ensure the particles aren’t able to re-infiltrate the air in the home and will keep everyone breathing easier all season long.

###Don’t Track in Dirt (Or Allergens) An unconventional trick for reducing allergens in the home is removing shoes before walking inside. Shoes not only pick up dirt and debris, but they’re also carrier vessels for pollen and dander.
